Hair porosity is the hair's ability to absorb moisture.
What's Low Porosity Hair?
In low porosity hair the cuticles of the hair are extremely tight. Therefore it's very difficult for moisture to penetrate the hair shaft. It's also difficult for products to penetrate the hair so most products and moisture sits on top of the hair. Low Porosity Hair Butter contain butters that act as a humectant to force moisture into the hair shaft.
What's High Porosity Hair?
In High porosity hair the cuticles of your hair contain gaps and tears. Therefore the hair absorbs moisture and products but it doesn't hold on to the moisture nor the product. High Porosity Hair Butter fills in the gaps to nourish your hair and return it's shine.
